COMPOSER

Paris born composer Alexandre Fortuit has worked in film, television and theatre for the past ten years. Alexandre is known for his unique sound and approach to scoring, using an Hybrid mix of acoustic and electronic instruments, intricate rhythmic patterns and a highly expressive melodic approach. His work can be heard on award winning French television series “Balthazar” “Profilage” and “Falco”.

 

BIOGRAPHY

 

Alexandre Fortuit is originaly from Paris, France. He moved to New York City in 1998 to study at the Drummers collective in Manhattan. In 2007 he moved to Los Angeles to further his studies of orchestral and film music at UCLA. He also attended orchestration seminars with Scott Smalley.

Alex has been writing music for film and TV since 2005.His first work as a TV composer was for "Equipe Medicale d'urgence" (France 2) from 2005 to 2009 (24 episodes), Falco from2013 to 2016 (30 episodes). Alex is currently scoring prime time Drama series "Balthazar"(4 seasons) and "Profilage"(10 seasons) produced by TF1 and Beaubourg audiovisuel.

Alex also co-wrote a piece for the Austin ballet and for many Short movies.

 In 2009 he got the award for best original score at NYU first run film festival for his work on "Ana Lucia"
